A background investigation seeks to find out important information about a person, both good and bad. Credit checks, criminal investigations, family records reviews, verification of age, education, work history, and military service are just a few of the things included in the background check.
A background investigation will include interviews with individuals who know the subject and any prior or present spouse (divorced within the previous ten years). Neighbors can be interviewed, as well as public records researched for information on bankruptcies, divorces, and criminal or civil cases. If required, additional interviews will be held to resolve any inconsistencies or concerns that arise throughout the course of the investigation.
